Hi brains trust sorry if this has been asked before didn’t come up in any searches. Looking for a starting point for a 2209 load in a 308 for 208’s, can not seen to get the consistency with the 200 jacks.

Depends how big is your rear bag. I started out with a normal sized bag and made out of 1/4 inch mild steel plate one with a couple of screws through to secure it to the ground. OR you could go to Bunnings and buy a rubber mate for the jockey wheel cut to size and Bobs your uncle.

Thank you for putting this event on, I can assure you that I will be coming back next year. Going to put this one on the calendar early. As has been said the conditions on Sunday were difficult to say the least but when all are in the same boat getting a drumming like that is somewhat ok.

We’ll have settled on 48 grns of 09 for an average velocity of 2670. Pretty happy with that so far. Got 2700fps from 48.6 but group was a bit bigger

Thanks yeah I know of multiple match shooters using it with 208’s and remember an article years ago about using 09 in the 303 to have a long slow pressure curve with 174’s .
