UKRAINE

Not looking to make a political statement here just an observation.

The situation in Ukrainie should tell us all something about the value of an armed population and about the folly of disarmed populations.

If we have to ask why our government disarmed us then we aren't very bright. The other thing I would like to point out as fact is the Ukraine border is not actually an internationally recognised sovereign border, which makes it still part of Russia

I don't think this is correct. The Ukrainian border with Crimea is the border that is not internationally recognised because Russia invaded the Crimean Peninsular of Ukraine in 2014. Russia hold that part of Ukraine illegally so that border is not internationally recognised.

Ukraine is an internationally recognised sovereign state and therefore it's borders are internationally recognised apart from the one that Russia claim to have with Ukraine in Crimea.

Russia actually acknowledged Ukraine in 1994 under Boris Yeltsin, as part of the deal to remove ex USSR nukes, pretty sure they wish they still had them now!!!
