NRAA travel insurance

#1 Postby Tim N » Thu Oct 05, 2017 8:16 am

Hi All,
I had an unfortunate incident while in Canada recently which resulted in a damaged march scope.
Prior to travel we mostly agreed that the SSAA insurance was best with only $100 excess for a claim, I have been a continuous member of the SSAA for 30 or so years and it so happened that my membership lapsed just before the FCWC....So no insurance from them.
Not to worry (or so I hope) the NRAA stated we were covered while travelling.
The process has been slow so far with uncertainty as to what the excess will be.
Has anyone had a successful insurance claim through the NRAA?
Cost of repair is around $750 which is much cheaper than a new march.
I will let you all know the outcome.

Make sure your SSAA membership/insurance is up to date when travelling etc.
