Gidday Barry,

They don't appear to be as speedy as some of the others in getting the results on the web. I believe this is where they will be :

http://www.nswra.org.au/results/2005queens.html

If we'd known, we could have asked Matt to phone them through each day.

Now they're cooking with gas. Thursday's results must have gone up same day. Close finishes in the McIntosh in both F-Std and F-Open. Noel Lewis pipped Tom Lowndes and Stephen Rigby pipped Peter Hayden.

And by the look of the scores on Thursday, challenging weather  !

Congrats to all =D>

Results for day 1
F Open
Matt Paroz 294
Micheal Brown 291
Dennis Challis 289

F Standard
?????? 177
Tom Lowndes 175
E.Mace 174

Open have 10 shooters and standard about the same as you can see by the scores the weather was fairly nice (had a 99 @ 500 and a 100 @ 600)but if the forecast holds true tomorrow could be ugly!

Queens Day 2 results are on http://www.nswra.org.au/results/2005queens.html. Looks like you were right about the ugly weather Matt - when James Corbett gets a 45.1 things must be tough  .

Progessive scores of F-Class leaders are :
F-Std John Hammond 334, Tom Lowndes 333. Ernie Mace 329
F-Open Dennis Shallis 557, Matt Paroz 554, Michael Brown 550
Hang on in there Matt, and put in a word for our website if you get the chance  !

A well deserved congratulations to Matt for his finish at the NSW Queens, especially considering the what appeared to be very ordinary conditions. =D> =D>

And well done to all the other competitors =D>

Yes Matt, well done \:D/. I notice you were trailing going into the last range and made up 12 points - there must be a story behind that?

Regarding equipment, did you happen to notice what Dennis Shallis and Michael Brown were using? Actually I'm interested mainly in what calibres everyone was using if you remember?

Alan & Lynn thankyou.
Calibers used as follows
Matt P 6BR and 6.5x57AI one rifle 2 barrels.
Dennis Shallis 243 35" Border 6.5" twist with 105 or 107 not sure
Micheal Brown 6.5x284 with 139's I think.
Peter Hayden 260 with 139's.
Ken Melgard Two 6br's one shooting 95 Bergers and one with 107's and 300WSM wiyh 190 SMK
Steve Rigby 260 with 139's ?? not sure.
Mal Henderson same as Dennis.
Chris Burdett 6BR the nicest rifle there by a long way.
Gottleb Nyffenegger 6BR with 105 Lapua.
There were 6 Barnard actions, 1 RPA, 1 Shilen, 1 Rem40x, 1 Stiller and 1 Winchester Mod 70, 5 used Larkin type bi-pods & 4 used front rests.
Conditions at the last range were pretty shit but many lessons were learnt in the first 800 in similar condition there was between 6-9 minutes of wind with the 6.5x57,the drop offs is what killed you the most. I was basically working on the plan of keeping them in the 8 ring and if I did that I would probably get blown into the 9 & 10 a few times.
