:-k ... I wonder what they will do with the leftover 300m/300y mounds.

In 5-10yrs time we'll be pointing out to the bump at the front of the range, while telling newbies, "We use to shoot from there at 300, but they couldn't print targets with small enough centers and our barrels were almost touching the mantle anyway." 8)

Could be turned into a "roo lounge", to encourage them to keep off the other mounds?

Maybe that is were the newbie's with only an accurate hunting rifle shoot from, at least they won't chew out the centre and get some experience as well. There you go hunter class.

300 mightn't been a popular competition distance any more but there seems to be a heck of a lot of club shooters still like it - and they are the ones who keep our sport alive.

And clubs will no doubt continue to have 300, particularly the 3-5-600 yards ranges and the like. But whenever you have large fields of good F-Class shooters, such as at Queens, then 300 target damage will be a significant problem.

It would have been nice if they had announced this right after last years Victorian Queens. That would have saved me the money I have spent on buying a 6mm barrel, having it fitted and all the load development work that I have done over the last few months.

These decisions do have flow on effects to members.

Seems like there's an association here & there that doesn't report to its members.

Put it in the car for the trip, as you don't know with Bendigo. You may get light conditions, and the 6mm will get your Super Count up!
