Thanks Keith and Rich,I have most of a 500 gram tin left,obviously more than a few lifetimes of use.

Getting it into a syringe does suck but this stuff is the most unreal grease on lugs, barrels and lots of other things too.

I've used Loctite771 for a few years now to my satisfaction. Note that this is NOT the blue stuff!
