My recent journey down this path with the .223 has shown me that the first critical question is what is the throat length? Obviously twist, barrel length, bullet, primer and brass brand are important too, but throat length specs are critical before taking on load advice.

What are the gun specs?

I have purchased this rifle unseen, i know it is a Barnard with a Mastin stock,so I am hoping it is a Mastin built rifle, from the photos that I have seen it looks to be in good condition.i bought from Townsville gunshop (they were the agent ) but could not get the information on the barrel from them, also got in touch with Townsville rifle club ,they new the rifle but because of some of the privacy rule could not give me much info,so I guess I will just have to wait till I get my hands on it.I live in Alice Springs so that makes it a bit harder.
