Dry firing Barnard PE

#1 Postby Gerard » Mon Feb 10, 2020 1:06 pm

Hi Guys,

When practicing at home I dry fire my Barnard with some of those snap caps with a spring loaded primer.
However the primer in all of the snap caps I have at hand is pretty dented these days, so should I be cautious and replace them?

Essentially this concern follows a Facebook post I saw on the Fullbore page where a guy has recently snapped a bolt head locating pin.
and I'm reminded that OMARKs also suffered from dry firing and the result was the locating pin failing.

So are Barnard Ps different in some way, or am I right to be cautious and just replace the snap caps I use.

cheers,
Gerard.
