Close up slow motion of bullet exiting a muzzle

#1 Postby !Peter! » Tue Mar 22, 2022 2:55 pm

Saw this video from Applied Ballistics showing a close up of a bullet exiting a muzzle.

I found it interesting the patterns of gas that came out before and after the bullet exited.

Enjoy!

Fascinating. Projectile is gone before recoil has moved rifle more than a smidge. Albeit an important smidge re ensuring shooter doesn’t stuff things up.

Hmmm, interesting. My 6mm doesn't move until the bullet is well clear of the muzzle.
I'll have to incorporate a blue dot and stick next time.
Also WAY less smoke.

I've not got the video on my phone but I'll try and post it when I get home.
