Air adjustable rear bag

#1 Postby Adam Lubke » Sun Mar 17, 2024 9:46 am

Hi,

Does any know if a Ryan Cheney Air Foil Precision Shooting Rear Bag is approved for F Class Open?

Rules state
(e) There may be no mechanical means of adjusting the bag, either
laterally or vertically.

The Air adjust Bladder at the bottom sand bag, im thinking wouldn't be Classified as Mechanical.

Why would you want one for F Open to begin with? Just use a Seb for the same price.

The Rifle im using is over sport class rules in weight and barrel length, this puts me into F Open categorie.
I'm using a Accu-Tac Bipod.
I'm not out to win comps, just learn and better myself.
Just looking to buy the Air Adjustable bag, but want to know if it's allowed before I spend my dollars.

Hi Adam,
Look up SSR's rule #20.2.6 in the F.Open section states what front and rear bags can be fill with. Sand, ect. no air. Read it all and you will have your answer.
Cheers,
Trevor.

No air in a rear or front bag? I would like to see that!

Hi Firesale,
Love the wise crack, you know what I meant by no air. However could put a light vacum pump on after fillinfg with sand ect. but expect a little air would leak back in through stitching and filler.
Cheers,
Trevor.
