question
i just purchased some 80gm amax for my savage 223. as a point of curiosity i put one in a fired case and chambered it in the rifle. it pushed the proj. quite a long way into the case. also out of curiosity i seated one into a sized case and the same happened. the seating die i have is used to seat sierras. i mean i am talking about a long way into case. could someone give me an overall length. i realise this will vary with jump, but just some idea would be appreciated. i am not up with technical terms for reloading. thanks.

g-day, you will have to excuse an old fool. i just realised that i used the wrong seating die to satisfy my curiosity with the amax. all is ok. i now just need to work out the right jump and load etc. once again ignore the previous post . must of had a seniors moment, eh?
