Alpha Munitions - Brass interest

#1 Postby willow » Sun Dec 22, 2019 7:14 pm

Not trying to sell anything here but trying to gauge whether any members on here would be interested in buying Alpha brass. There's no Australian distributor at the moment, but there may be shortly, with a Qld based business attending SHOT and looking to bring some brass back.

Personally I'm looking at ordering 500 pieces of 6GT brass, and I know of a couple of other guys also interested in this. Please bear in mind Alpha are also making straight Dasher brass which I thought might be of interest to some on here.

Anyway, if you ARE interested in buying Alpha brass, please let me know what calibre and how much so I can inform the potential distributor (happy to share details if need be).

There was a guy that started to import and distribute the brass. Did he give up on the idea.

Hi Willow,
I know of four guys at least seeking Alpha 6GT brass.
Total appx 1,000-1,500 cases in first orders.

I'm sue there would be interest in Dasher and Creedmoor cases as well across Australia.

Yes, there is plenty of interest in an Aus Alpha brass supply.
PM me to discuss further
Cheers,
Mark

Without going into too much detail, effectively yes, he did bring some in but for whatever reason there hasn't been a regular supply. The new business I am speaking with is trying to change that, but they also understand the market for some of this brass is a hard one to crack and understand the need to be realistic about the quantities that people want, and what they can afford to sell.

I'm hearing good things about the Alpha Dasher brass, so that's something that may take off over time as it's the only non-fireforming option available. Once some more user feedback makes its way out there I think it will pick up in popularity, but the main thing right now is to try and gauge how much genuine interest there is in bringing brass in given Alpha don't have the same volume of manufacturing as the likes of Lapua, Norma, Hornady etc.

Thanks for the responses so far guys, keep them coming!

Apologies to anyone who may have tried to send a PM over the last day or so - my inbox was full which prevented me from receiving any new messages - I've cleaned it up now so hopefully that problem is solved.

Looks like quality brass concern for me is the SRP sees to have a large flash hole, which is part of the benefit of SRP.
When are they going to do SAUM ?

The 6XC brass I bought earlier in the year is noticeably better than Norma...

I've asked the question Matt - might get an answer at SHOT hopefully.

I know the guy who runs Precision Varminting has a deal with OSA from what his facebook and other social media looks like now. I would hazard a guess that due to his deal with OSA, he cant sell competitors products. His website uses to show products for sale, now its just his shooting business.
