Hi Seb
There is a Team F class match between the states usually every 2 years.
The last was in March in Tasmania this year.
I believe the next is scheduled a bit earlier than normal being August 2015?

EVENTS. GUNSMITH.

Post by John T »

Hello Seb.

Go to the QRA site and download the calendar.

You may be interested in the 1000yard BR competition on 26 and 27 July. Stay on, shoot 900 on 2 August, Apple's Long Range Club on the 3rd and the QRA matches from 9 to 16 August. Contact Stuart, there could be a Fly shoot. THAT would be some shooting holiday.

Lee Trengrove, a well known 1000 BR shooter, has developed a good reputation as a gunsmith. He has a web site and is located close to Belmont.

Regards,
John T.

Forgot to mention.

The next International F Class teams event in our hemisphere is in New Zealand in early 2015. Contact the NZRA for details.

Hi Shane, thanks for the question!
Unfortunately there is no dedicated F-class rifle & F-Class competition in Indonesia.
Our local/popular matches for centerfire rifle are just 3 positions score shooting @ 100 m (5 shots for each position)... 300 m 3 positions metal silhoutte (just the pigs)....and then 'benchrest shooting' @ 300 m or 400m (5 shots only / just for one group  )
Too bad that I don't have interest to bring the F-class & Flyshoot etc in Indonesia anymore. (It's due to many reasons, from the local firearm regulations, no reloading/components, etc etc :( )

Stuart, thanks for the welcome!
Yes, I plan to shoot F-class in Oz in the near future,,,,if possible.

I am planning to build or buy a dedicated FTR/Open gun in Oz, and I am looking for a good-honest fellow shooter that can keep the rifle (& equipments) in Oz using his/her license? (I won't take any advantage etc from him/her of course, I am willing to pay all the costs associated).
Another way could be to hire a good rifle for a given/particular match, to pay for the ammo cost, transportation etc...or whatever needed.
Also probability to create a team shoot FTR/F-standard (if any) with some good fellow shooters...? I can supply the bipods, team T-shirts, hat, etc.
So if someone can help (re: the rifle & paperworks), or interested to create an FTR team (with 'mixed' members) please let me know.
I don't know much about F-Class shooting & the categories/class in Oz, honestly.
Only for consideration, I am a good & honest person, right handed, love good stuffs, and willing to pay anything associated. I can also shoot good/fair either in FTR/FStandard/Open or Flyshoot or Benchrest, either short/mid/long range - especially if I have a good partner or wind coach.
I plan to shoot only once or twice a year in Oz, and preferably big match.

Thanks & Best Wishes,
seb.

Hi Seb ,
Not to dob him in , but I know a gentleman that is very honest and loves to help his fellow shooters . Is also a very good gunsmith builds his own stocks . Has a reputation for loaning out his prized rifles . At the recent natioanls he was loading I think for 5 different people with five of his rifles . He belongs to my old club at Cannonhill ( this is a great club too!).
Also current world Champion and Tasmania Queens winner.
If u were in Raton last year I'm sure you know who I'm talking about !
He's about 6foot 3" and has a South African ascent !
I'm sure he would be glad to help. Maybe join Cannhill rifle Club and start there! A great bunch to be around 👍
