Getting reamers re ground

Post by Brad Y »

Anyone in oz re grinding finishing reamers? I want to make my 6.5mm a little shorter in freebore by about 40 thou. Not sure if I need to send it back to USA or not.

Cheers

I went through the exercise a while back to get a reamer reground also. I was recommended a local tool grinding service but he wasn't confident to get the precise angle and his quote was pricy. I sent it to PTG and they did it for about $50 including return post. Auspost to US was about $15. I think the turnaround time was about 6 weeks.
