Maybe because it's their first time and "they don't know any better"

I can't understand why the AU team members were not announced ages ago.

I wish you all the best. Whoever you are...

They were announced ages ago, actually, they were announced just after they were selected.

Do people not follow the NRAA or Target Rifle Magazine?

Thanks Jason
I did see those news letters but I thought since then there was a call for extra nominations after some shooters on the team dropped out.

I am keen to follow our shooters and as none of the event will be televised all I can rely on is the internet. We can follow a lot of the AU shoots on the nraa results page and on the hexta site.

Do you know if we will be able to follow along with scores on an African site?

We need an Ozzy "Eric" to video parts of the event with our shooters and upload to YouTube for all of us at home.

Hi Jasmy the target rifle magazine was a good read when in print form and left around club hoses ect unfortunately when it went digital I missed alt of the reading probably like so many other shooters, thanks for the link but looks a bit out of dated.
Cheers

Those NRAA news advices quoted by Jason are out of date by 3 years
I know some members listed have pulled out

Thankyou for the comprehensive update.

From what you have shared it demonstrates the level of commitment and development of shooters and coaches so the team can take home the Gold!

Well done all, and enjoy the times to come.

Special note, it is great to see Lowell in the chair! His skill was demonstrated at the State Teams event in Bendigo last year. =D>

Yeah I think this is an understatement! Anyone who hasn't been won't understand the logistical nightmare it is even when traveling to a friendly location. With COVID, component shortages and heading to a challenging import destination and you all honestly deserve a medal just for making it there with all your gear!

One thing about Australians is they always find a way to work together as a team and solve the problem which is hard to beat.

Don't mean to be a scaremonger but....South Africa in turmoil due to power outages, on the verge of 'collapse" and "civil war" so says news.com.au

Luckily we won’t be needing any electrical power at the range.

From what I’ve heard Bloemfontein is one of the safer and saner areas of South Africa and that we are unlikely to have much trouble there. (Not that I’m saying Australian media would ever sensationalise anything)

Naahhhh, I was there last week for my daughter’s wedding, same old South Africa, with same old challenges.

Rod, I thought you and Albert needed about 10kV to kick start those super hot loads with the extra heavy projectiles for your new caliber???

The electric rail guns we are using are powered by a remote generator and power is stored in small capacitors, so no onsite power is needed
