Hi Graham

Thanks for posting the pictures ,that was my best round and conditions became much worse from there.

This event held about 7 hours drive North of Brisbane just a couple of hundred meters of the main High Way it is a great week end open to almost any one ie SSAA, NRA or others, plenty of camping or pub accommodation available ,the food and hospitality is really super and very aussie .It is held over the two days 4 rounds at 500 meters ,a 500 meter fly shoot with one sighter ,and a military shoot all 303 s with Charlie A winning that .Ernie mace got the fly twice for a win there. I had the smallest group but 3 inches to the left(don't count)

Mark F won F open easily shooting a 260 AI with 140 VLD molyed , Bernard (second ) was shooting a very nice custom 284 shooting 180 VLDs I got third shooting a 6.5 *47 130 VLD HBN conditions on Sunday were very hot and twitching left right .

Nick Williamson came over to me with a smart ass comment about him beating the f open score ( with a 308 * 8 KG and a 1 KG trigger) cant argue with that, he is king of the hill with the 308 and 155 gr pills and the fact that the some f open shooters are of a world standard .

NOTE WORD OF WARNING .

A big gust of wind came crashing through on Sunday arvo and completely flipped all the gazebos over about 4 of. I was scoring at the time the girl next to me shooting 308 got lifted up and tangled in the guide ropes her rifle was smashed broken in half just behind the trigger and one bloke was out for the count counting stars.

DO NOT UNDERESTAMATE THE WIND LOADING THESE SHADE COVERS CAN CREATE .
In typical Aussie fashion we were all shooting again in under 20 min as if nothing happened.

All the best for the Christmas season people .
