I know the question has been asked before!
What choice of reticle is favoured for F Class std and open for this scope?
Yes, I know it is personal preference, but still worthy of asking the question prior to purchase.
My experience so far is with the standard cross hairs, similar to CH2 offered by Nightforce.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Reticle Choice for Nightforce BR 12-42x56
John,
I have a 12-42 BR with a NP2DD which I used for years, found the centre dot too big. Although my twin boys seem to like it on their gun. Moved to a 8-32 BR NPR2 which I prefer.

Re: Reticle Choice for Nightforce BR 12-42x56
I like the NP R2.
I know it has excrescences on the horizontal & vertical bars, but I can ignore them. What it gives me is crosshairs that are of adequate weight for any condition, never overpoweringly heavy or whisper thin for conditions.
Incientally, I have an 8-24 BR boosted to 42 power or thereabouts with a BulzeyePro booster. That gives me the windage & elevation capability of the 8-32 & the power of the 12-43.

Re: Reticle Choice for Nightforce BR 12-42x56
John.
I bought a 12-42 BR with NP2DD when my eye was in need of extra magnification but the dots just got absorbed by the black target centre so, I was no better off and on-sold it to Andrew at a nice discount.
Bought a NFX 8-32X56 with the NP-R2 reticle and find the markings very suitable.
My only regret is not going for the 42 power as even with my cataracts fixed, the extra power would help my aging eyes.
Prefer the NFX as there is more moa per turn of the knobs and also have side parallax .
They are a bit dearer but worth it in the long run.
Suggest that you have a look through some of the Nightforce reticles that fellow members might have as there is nothing to beat an actual viewing(otherwise I would never have bought the NP2DD BR in the first place!)
I think that a quick survey will show that the NP-R2 is the most popular reticle used.
Link to all Nightforce reticles below but they are not all available and are specific to some scope models.
