Alan, it sounds to me that your scope was wound close to the top of it's travel & the erector tube did not have enough spring tension on it allowing it to "flutter". Do you ease springs on your scope week to week? Keith H.
Possibly Keith, but it doesn't take much velocity spread to cause bad vertical at 1500yds. I may have had some positive compensation helping during the 800yd testing, but that would have been overwhelmed at the longer ranges.
Alan, maybe so, but don’t rule out spring set if you don’t “ease” springs from week to week, this is often an unidentified problem if springs are not eased. It’s like not decocking your bolt, if you don’t sooner or later misfiring will occur. Keith H.
