I've just returned from a half way "practice drive" to Armidale in N NSW. Everything went swimmingly. We in Vic try to cover every eventuality in our preparation....

Fact finding mission

Post by bartman007 »

Good work Alan.

Did you find out which way the projectiles turn up there?

And which side of the white line do they drive on? They're a weird mob up in NSW. Anything is possible :D

Tell me you got some of that RUM that they're talking about, we need to get accustomed to it quickly.

Good to see you made it back safely. Phew!

Now Now Bartman,
No need to be afraid, it's SOP to drink with Rum when your up north, it will be the only way you will get any sleep with the mossies, humidity, cane toad's etc,
So you just bring your boy's around every night and I'll look after them.

Cane Toads / Mozzies

Post by bartman007 »

Graham,

Sounds like these Queenslander's have got some great stuff up North. I can't see why I haven't moved there yet :?:

Mmmmmmm Cane Toads. I heard, that if you lick a cane toad, that you get a hallucinative effect. If the RUM doesn't get you, the cane toads will 8)

I don't know how we'll shoot straight. Might have to have one blinder of a night after the teams event :)

Gadget,

I don't know why we didn't think of it too?

Such a great use of work time :D

So I gather you're happy with the bipod then. I was thinking you could probably adapt the cardboard box that the bottles come in, just to save room in the car.

And for the scope, an empty toilet roll cylinder could do the job.

Keep up the great work.

Alan, looks like there will be some pretty touch competition this year :!:

All the trash talk has slowed - I guess that means everyone has actually had to put their heads down to get ready. Finish loading, tidy up their work committments and get on the road.

The excitement builds :!: :!: :!:

Very true Dave,
I figure a lot of us will be hitting the road this weekend, So Guys drive safe and let's all get there in one piece.
Then we can finally meet each other face to face and have a real BS session, pimp parade, a drink, then find out what this daytime activity ?? is that Alan's talking about.

Graham

P.S. pack you wet gear, the long range forcast is not promising.

Post by bartman007 »

Hey, will you guy's stop posting for a while. I'm busy reloading :)

Oh man, was that 62 or 62.1 grains that I was putting in. Now I've got to emtpy them all out and start again.

Really looking forward to a weeks shooting in ???sunny??? North QLd. Lets hope for fine weather, and enjoyable conditions.

Sounds like we'll have a great number of shooters up there, so the compeition should be fierce.

As for those girly pimped up rifles: it might be one thing that they look good, but can they shoot :?: :P

Gotta go, STILL RELOADING........

Gadget I don't see an action clear indicator in that weapon
Or does one check the contents before safe removal of the mound
The SA Team is very exited I can tell you 3 days travel may mellow the mood a little.
The SA Open team will be fully pimped as you may have been advised by the state team pimping director Bruce even if we loose we will look great in the photos.
FAB Virgil thunder birds are GO
ETA 11 days
