Hello Agro,

It seems we had a limited number of shooters for the first 2 days in Open.

The Knudsen's shot the first day, not sure of the results.

Then Daniel Bennet and myself shot the marathon.

In regards to the Marathon, we had a great competition, and it wasn't over till the 900 yard range. Scores were approx (not sure of the centre counts):

300 yards Daniel 60.? Mike 57.0
500 yards Daniel 60.? Mike 58.4
600 yards Daniel 58.? Mike 58.5
700 yards Daniel 60.? Mike 60.4
800 yards Daniel 57.? Mike 60.4
900 yards Daniel 52.? Mike 60.2

There was only 2 points in it up to 900 yards, however Daniel got the bad run of conditions at the end.

There was a frontal fishtail, that started from right hand wind through the start of 300 yards (which cost me points as it changed and I didn't take enough off), however then it came predominantly from the left for the rest of the day.

While it was a hot day, the cool breeze made shooting enjoyable.

With five shooters per target, over the 10 targets presented, this allowed for us to finish around 5:30pm! Great effort for 6 ranges!

Congrat's to the Warrnambool organisers on a well run competition.

In TR, Geoff Grenfell won with a great shoot.
Ross from Yarram had a great shoot and win in C Grade.

The Stratford Maffra (Noel) and Sale (Bruce) guy's traded positions in F A from Day 1 to Day 2.
