Omark action for 6mmbr rifle?

Post by Aaron_G »

hey folks, I have a spare omark action in the safe and wish to make it 6mm br? Who would be the person to talk to about this lil project? I was thinking it's going to be more a range rifle than the long distance varmint rilfe. projectile i was thinking 105 - 107grn with a 1:10 twist for the long 900 - 1000 yards. Stock i was thinking of getting geoff slee to fashion but what style? what everyones idea of this?

Cheers Aaron

hi mate,

I have a 6br I use for F open and fly shooting. Being that it will be used for more target then field use I use a aussie laminate in the MBR profile and have the rifle built to 17 pound limit. The 10 twist will be too lite for the big projectiles, a 8 twist will stabilise them alright though. I would reccomend Shane Clancy from Narrandra NSW as a good gun plumber , he has built my 6mmbr for me and its the most accurate target rifle I have used so far.

Hope this helps.
Firepower usally means an increased number of misses per minute. 50 misses are not firepower. One hit is firepower
