Say Hello to the latest member - G7L-264-140gr

Post by aaronraad »

Introducing the latest member of the G7L family from Antipodean Industrial, the G7L-264-140gr!

Born last night at 10:22pm EST, after many troublesome months following conception. The photo wasn't taken long after so he still needs a bit of cleanup. He weighed in at 140gr and was 1.378" long, with a cute little 0.055" meplat that just didn't want to happen until we used both the long and short forceps.

We're expecting solid performances from him and he might even grow into a longer boat tail, but baby steps for now. It looks like he might be spending some time with Uncle Graham at a range in NSW over Christmas, with a couple hundred of his siblings to be given the once-over. We've already conceived his smaller brother (130gr?) and we're expecting again in December! Thanks once again to the perfect midwife Gary Little and the support from all the others.

You can find the G7L family at http://www.antipodeanindustrial.com.au.

Congratulations, may you have many, many, more

It will be a shame to take him out in the heat while he's so young, but hey someone's got to teach him to fly.

There, they all look much better now after a few hours polishing.

Here is a G7L-264-140gr flanked by a Berger VLD Hunting 308-155gr on the left and a Sierra Matchking 308-240gr on the right.

They're not the real competition, but you have to cut your teeth somewhere. The engineer's rule is just there to get him use to being around measuring devices all the time.
