Quickload Data

Post by Rogue22 »

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone could run a load on quickload for me? I’m looking to see what pressure my current load is running at. I don’t have any pressure signs currently, just interested to know.

If there is I’ll put details up.

Thanks in advance

Yes, I have it. Details I will need are.
Cartridge (and if possible water capacity of a fired case , with primer in, filled up to the top)
Barrel length (from bolt face to muzzle
OAL of loaded round.
Amount of jam or jump.
Bullet
Powder and charge weight.
(are you using small flash hole Palma brass)
Current velocity.
Moly, or bare bullets.

Thanks for your help mate, details are as per below;

Case - .308 win, lapua Palma SR primer brass

Case capacity - 56.14 gn water filled to the brim

Barrel length - 26” measured to bolt face

OAL length of round - 2.9477 (average of 5 rounds measured)

Jump - 0.059

Bullet - Berger 185gn juggernaut target

Powder - AR2208, 44.5gn

Bare bullets

I’m not seeing any pressure signs and load is not a crush load. Just interested to know how close to max pressure I am.

Cheers

Very interesting, SAAMI max pressure is listed at 62,000 psi. So 1400 psi over pressure.

Don’t think I’ll try and push this one any further.

Thanks for you help mate.

Thanks for you help mate.

It is up there but should be fine.
I would be too scared to put some F/tr shooters loads into Quickload
