what should clinch it for s.a. (open only) is the uniform of black and yellow bodyshirts undone to the navel, with gold chains hanging over chest toupes.
such pride in dress and appearance can only bode well for morale.
white shoes and strides will also be worn.
this uniform was selected after exhaustive testing to suit rifles.
matching red akubras and drizabones will be supplied in case of rain,
and the team's aromatherapist will work all night to ensure peak performance with the 6.5 x 47 lapua cartridge during the day.
keep safe,
bruce.

the only thing that could ruin s.a."s chances is if the stretch lomo is not on time to pick the team up from the sara lear jet when it lands.
keep safe,
bruce.

PITCH REPORT

Post by bartman007 »

With a sprinkling of rain overnight, the range is in great shape. Very green.

Conditions were quite challenging for the first day of the Women's team shoot at 800 meters. Flags running one way, mirage the other. Cool, that certainly bodes well for an interestig competition.

The mounds look quite comfortable if you shoot on your elbows.

We get to shoot uphill, so I'd put an extra 0.1 gn in the case to overcome the elevation.

It takes about 20 -> 30 minutes from Mackay. Watch the speed limits, there seems to be quite a few Blue - Red lit cars floating around.

We shoot with our backs to the wind, which seems to come from the ocean. Might be a good idea to put in a spare rear view mirror, whilst shooting!

27 degrees tomorrow, certainly warmer than the icy blast down in Vic.

Keep travelling, you're almost here.

Internet Results

Post by TTBS28 »

Thanks for the update Dave. Do you know if the North Queenslanders have a site where we can look at the daily results for everybody ?? I have searched everywhere I can but can't find any results link by the Club Or the controlling body. There are a lot of people who couldn't attend but would love to keep up with the daily happenings. The Vics had a great site for this at the recent Quuens event and everybody at home kept up to date on a daily basis.

Regards.........Jeff. Roberts.

Jeff,

Looks like the NQRA website may not be publishing results nightly, so I'll see if they can provide us with something for ozfclass. See the blog which I'll start in a minute.

Thanks Alan,

Don't bust your butt too much but anything that is forthcoming will be appreciated by the boys back here. We have quite a few SA boys over there so will be keen to see how they go each day.

Regards.........Jeff.
