You can't.

You'll find 37 on the QRA web page but that aint gonna help you though. 36 is AWOL.

Thanks for that. Does that mean that the proposed use of Bergers is not yet legal. I understood that it was to come into effect as at 1/1/13 BUT if it has not been added to the SSR's for all to see then I would assume that their use is not yet legal - correct?

Best way would be to shoot of an email to the NRAA and ask for a ruling on approved projectiles. Like you, Im of the understanding that Jan 1st was the introduction date, but... It would be nice to have official notification.

Member update no. 36 said quite clearly that the Bergers would be legal(in principle) from Jan 1st subject to certain conditions mentioned in the questionnaire that was previously sent out to members. I recall that one of those conditions was that they be made available at a competitive cost to what we already had. So does that mean that they are technically not legal because they cannot be purchased at roughly the same cost as the HBC"s? I have seen no further reference to that part of the document in relation to their legality. I think it has been conveniently filed in the stiff shit you can now pay double the price to be competitive basket.

They were used at Warrnambool prior to 1st Jan so I guess that means you can do as you like.

Thanks for the input guys. Good to know I'm not the only one concerned that it has not been posted on the site yet i.e. are they legal or aren't they.
Keep it coming - maybe we'll get an answer from somebody. If I get a chance I'll send an email to NRAA and hope to get a reply - maybe tonight?

Wouldn't the simple answer be to check the distributors, you state rifle association - or have we a little private vendetta going on here?

Even a quick call to the QRA Store just next door the NRAA would be just as accurate. If they're not sure, then what hope do you have of getting a straight answer?

In the mean time...it would seem to be a case of 'when' not 'if' the Berger's will be approved. So if they are available for sale as a 'non-approved' item it won't be stopping other shooters from building stock regardless of pricing.

If I had Bergers then I'd probably be using them too, as it seems the events I travel to don't appear to be testing ammo. And I travel to quite a few Vic OPM's.

You can always test the organising committee's resolve to upholding their interpretation of the SSR's, as it doesn't seem to be crystal clear at present.

Does anyone have an UPDATED version of the SSR's? If so, then if the Bergers are documented in there, then they are clearly legal for competition.

I'll continue to use my 155gn Sierra's as they seem to hit the mark. After all I still have 400+ to use up!
