There's a logic to it as far as optical people are concerned, but not for shooters. They recommend that we give optimum enhancement to the master eye & dial back on the other to permit close(r) vision. Sucks with flags.

As far as keeping spectacles located, I have a pair of Zeiss shooting frames I found on Ebay & ones from an old Aussie interchangeable lens shooting specs. Both are fitted with ear loops & both hold in place with recoil.
