I gotta say I really enjoyed myself. Was great to put some faces to names. Myself and my lil 6mm will be back next year and maybe with the 7mm aswell. Gotta keep you guys honest :)

I've already booked room for both nationals and QRA queens :)

Equipment wise I ran a R700 6x47L with 2209 and 105gr hybrids all the way.

Mark especially but also Shane green were overly generous on the weekend and didn't ask for gear back when it could have helped. They gave generously and helped their fellow competitors out at cost to themselves.

Dave,
Yes I benefited directly from Shane's sacrifice. And thanks also to you and Rod for assisting with my scope zeroing at 800. I think its great to have a situation where we compete hard when shooting, but don't like to see anyone disadvantaged through equipment failure. It reminds of something one of the Americans said to me shortly after we arrived in Raton last August, when I said we were fortunate enough to obtain the powder and primers we needed. "Good - I much prefer to kick your butt when you don't have supply problems". Didn't get to speak to him after the competition - he appeared to be avoiding me  .

Speaking of generosity and cooperation amongst shooters at the Nationals, I have to thank Keith Hills for helping me out at 900yds on Sunday. I was on the mound, about to start my stage and discovered to my horror that the bolt was seizing in my action and would not close. The problem was caused by an action screw binding into the trigger guard and protruding into the receiver. I had re-torqued my action screws the previous day.

On immediately determining the problem, Keith removed his own action screw and swapped out the offending screw on the mound in no time (luckily we both have Barnards). Keith also offered to do the same for the last range. Thanks again Keith!

Thanks for the kind words Dave and Alan.
For the record Dave made the same or bigger contribution in not asking for his scope back from me after the end of the second day at 900.
At that point Dave knew he was in strife as well and had the final day of 900 and 1000 looming!
Thanks mate!
Mark's generosity in lending a rifle to Vicki was always appreciated.
It was a very competitive unit with Vick taking a couple of ranges!
I ended up using 2 different rifles of Mark's on the first day after my scope packed it in.

Thanks everyone.......
for the fun , laughs and great time during the NRAA Queens event.
Thrilled to see the lads from across the border & the commeradire that is still strong from the Raton lads which was a hoot.
Brilliant to see F Open, FTR & FSTD only 1 & 2 points seperating each discipline
Enjoying dinners and beers at the bar swapping great stories was wonderful with the lads.
Looking forward to Canberra and NZ F Class squad going in January 2015
Its a fine line on the range wanting to shoot well and also wanting to get results out blow by blow discriptions and also not having it effect your focus. But what great laughs and team man ship amoungst the F Class group.
Congrats to the NRAA web site for getting results out so quickly.
Friendships plus sharing gear, chairs, ground sheets, scopes etc etc barrels actions etc etc. Wonderful to hear everyone helping each other and the F Class going from strength to strenght.
Congrats to all place getters in all disciplines.

Thankyou for the fun and good times and compliments during my
