Ok, so should we all be contacting the Board members in writing? If so, Names and addresses ?

Cheers

As a board member you must be able to see where this is going, surely the board must be aware of "issues" without waiting for State Associations to "complain". Proaction would seem to me to be a better option than reaction. Individual shooters have only two options to be "heard" either through their State member who may or may not "put it to the Board" or forums such as this. The NRAA Board is unapproachable to individuals, we are not members, even though decisions or lack of directly affect the individual shooter, I can't say member as we are not, even though we pay affiliation fees to the NRAA.

Again, more bullshit, the email addresses of the NRAA directors are on the website.

James, as a Board member of the NRAA are you able to advise the correct process for rank and file members to voice their concerns in relation to this issue ?

Cheers

Afternoon Danny, If your issue is about your states championship badges, then email the Councillor who holds the Competition portfolio for your State Association
If your issue is about National championship badges, then email the Competitions Director at http://www.nraa.com.au/contact-us/
Sometimes the replies can be done within 24 hours or the response may require the consent of the Council or Board in which case, the EO may respond.
Councillors and Directors usually meet every 3 months so best to time your email/letters to arrive 30 days prior to meetings, James

I get the impression that many people believe that the Board is the NRAA. The NRAA is actually the Board plus the Members i.e. the State and Territory (S&T) Associations. If I wanted something important done quickly I would put pressure on my own Association President/Chairman to put pressure on the Chairman of the Board to act. If it was so urgent that it couldn't wait for scheduled meetings of S & Ts or Board then it should be dealt with ASAP. I'm not saying our badges issue is like that, but then the longer it is left, the harder it will be to recover from.

Hi James, next question. Having looked at the VRA website, who is the competition director ? I'm sure other States might have the same question on their respective websites.

This is not about dividing classes, it about uniting them all for the better of our sport. If we are to survive, then we need to embrace each discipline , on an equal level.

As far as Queens Badges are awarded, each discipline should be rewarded the same respect.

Cheers

Sorry, James, me again. If our sport is to survive, then it has to evolve, no more 455/570 m/h, no more .303 m/Henry's , no more .303's. Basic .308 Omarks are dead and gone. High tech TR and F Class is the way of the future. We need to embrace these classes and give them the appropriate recognition.

Otherwise we will die a slow and painful death and you as will also, as one of the best , target rifle shooters that Australia has ever known . Figurivingly taken. No malice intentioned.

Cheers

Good question, they recently changed the portfolios.
The Councillor list here http://www.vra.asn.au/councilor.shtml
I would address to the EO for forwarding to competitions.

We agree but the issue is more complex because the evidence used to change the F class badge has not been substantiated.
There are lots of view points and I'm waiting on other opinions before presenting all to the next Board meeting.

At the last workshop of the NRAA Member(s), the subject of embracing F class (not merely accepting it) was discussed.
However, I don't think TR is holding F class back, rather there is a lack of new equipment for aspiring F class members.

As I see it; the initial process has to be put forward by one State and Seconded by another State!!!
I don't believe this has been done. Also, the decision to implement this has been put forward by a committee of TR shooters! Are they trying to close the Door? Doesn't really matter as the NRAA is out there on their own in Australia!
F TROOP, SHOOTING F CLASS.
