bullet hole gauge

Post by Bart »

Just wondering if anyone might have come across or know of a source for the bullet hole gauge as described in Appendix 2 to Chap. 4.5.1.7 of the NRAA SSR's; checking when a hit is close to the line.

The"professional" markers have a gauge of 7.62mm dia(many use 8mm).So,when a small calibre such as 6mm or 223 hit close to the line, the marker will insert his gauge into the bullet hole, and if his gauge touches the whte ring,he will give the higher value.I hope I helped.

Bart,

I've never seen one in an Association shop. Most I presume are made by a club member.
