Cleaning Rods

Hi All,
I have a couple of Bore Tech cleaning rods that have not been turning smoothly. To-day I pulled them apart and they were a bit dirty but what amazed me was the lack of balls in the races, just over half way round. After cleaning everything up I applied some very fine grease and pirated some balls from one rod and filled both races and reassembled. Made a lot of difference, smoother than new. Have ordered some more balls from a local bearing Coy. so I can reassemble the other one. Word of warning, put a rag on the bench to catch the balls as the come out of the handle. The balls in mine were 2.5mm dia. Lost a couple from the first one as they rolled off the bench and went underneath. Well worth the effort.
