Spotting Scope Stands

Post by darrward »

So....

I’ve been trying to research spotting bipod scope stands

The traditional ones are the Anschutz and Freeland but can’t find either anywhere...

The newer alternatives seem to be the Creedmoor Sports one
https://www.creedmoorsports.com/product ... ccessories

Or the Dolphin one from UK
http://www.dolphinguncompany.co.uk/spot ... tands.html

Anyone know of local suppliers or alternates ?

Hi,

Spotting scopes usually have standard camera mounts used for video camera etc. I found good quality stands for less money at Camera stores, I got a Manfrotto stand with a smooth Pan head, nice and smooth for panning across those targets at long range.

Cheers

I think my decision has to be between the Collings and Dolphin...

I like the counterweight option on the long arm on the Dolphin but the Collings is the bipod style that I think will be less intrusive?

Giraud from Texas does the job for me. Bit pricey but really well made
