Accurateshooter.com appears to have a more accurate update of whats actually having with Barnard.

Don't know what Accurate Shooter is saying (a link would have been useful) but it pretty much accepted here in NZ that Barnard Precision now has a new owner and hopefully will be trading again sometime soon.

What I heard about an NZ based buyer a month ago now seems less likely or not at all and a lot more dickering is required. Disappointing.
