this is not a returned interest, but part of an ongoing quest.
training cutting and reining horses taught me that advanced training is not new tricks, but refining basics.
long range shooting is the same.
i don't think this game is for the now generation, due to the lack of immediate gratification.

As for the now generation, very few people would spend 5 hours just to fire 20 scoring shots in a shooting match. Many people have pointed this out to me and wonder why I shoot in such competitions. How can you explain the challenge to make every limited round count in the quest for an X with every shot. Horses for courses!

One of Ned's earlier posts mentioned "stratified".

If you were to erect a 40' flag pole, and hang flags every 5' up the pole, I'll bet there wouldn't be too many of them pointing in the same direction at any one time!

Stratification means the air(fluid) moves in layers, and quite often, in different directions..............

This might explain some of those 'lost shots', "When I pulled the trigger at the wrong moment!"
