I wish to inform everyone that the F Class team to Raton 2012 is now officially recognised by the NRAA.
We will now be known as the:
NRAA Goodwill Team
It is fantastic news to have the NRAA on side, and offer their support to our team.

I am very pleased to announce that this team is now full!
We have a complete team of 12 members heading to Raton this year.
Thank you to all that have offered the team support, and the advice offered by those in the Palma teams that have been there before us has been graciously received.
Our countdown clock has started. 8 weeks to go!

Time has flown by, and I have now finished packing and will head to Perth this afternoon to catch the early flight to Brisbane tomorrow.
The NRAA Australian F Class Team flys out Tuesday from Brisbane.
Updates and adventures will be posted on
http://www.aufclassteam.com
We will all be picking up USA sim cards on our arrival, so anyone wishing to contact myself, any team member or just pass on messages of support should email me, as these will still come through to my phone even with the new sim. Text messages will only be picked up on our return to AUS.
Otherwise leave a message on the website.
The team thanks all those that have supported us through sponsorship, donations, or just words of support.
We will make Australia Proud!

The Australia team has arrived safely in Raton New Mexico.
Things went smoothly with customs, but we have learnt a few things along the way. Rod Davies will be starting a blog on the team website as soon as we get some Internet sorted. Currently sitting in Maccas using their wifi.
I for one can vouch that altitude sickness is very real!

Well done team. You're doing a great "reconnaissance" job.
Yes Linda I know what altitude sickness is too. Not sure what makes you susceptible - I believe you normally acclimatise to it.
I'm very keen to find out how you went with customs, airlines etc.
Keep the info coming please.
Alan
PS See

Just a quick update as it is hard getting internet access. We have been here for 2 days now and were shooting at the 200yd range just cronographing and tuning. Some of the team let off a few hundred rounds on auto today, thanks to some very very friendly locals with a whole swag of toys. So far the whole team have been having a great time, the locals are being very hospitable. We have met up with some British shooters, but most will get here tomorrow. It has been windier than usual here the last few days, with switchy winds making testing and tuning difficult. Tomorrow is another testing day before we start the official practice the next day.
As for the altitude sickness, I think it was mainly due to some bad ice cubes, which surprises me as the tap water here is drinkable.
I will send updates when we can get something sorted with internet access.
