I think that's where the coke bottle comes in.
I too have issues with 1.25" barrels, but the idea is sound, and I find if the box butts up against the end of the barrel, it does the job admirably.
Daniel pointed out to me, if you close the lid, that stops the spray even more
It won't fit over my Shadetree tuner, though.
