Classic rifle there. From the same era as the one I have.

Both rifles show a good progression from Scope in recoiling mounts (external adjustment) to the Internal adjustment but non zoom scope.

Scopes have really come a long way - especially in usability and compactness although those old scopes, while not quite as good optically, are probably as accurate.
