Of course you could cobble something up with a length of threaded rod & lock nut, a matching connector sunk & glued into the butt & a plate welded on to carry a butt pad.

I just ordered one of the Caniffe butt plates. They appear to be simple enough for me, good range of adjustment and decent price.

I might go put this one in a hiding place in the shop then so its ready for my stock!

Hi All,
I have a project underway and I want to fit an adjustable butt plate to it which will extend above the top of the stock.
Does anyone have a setup like this with a quick release system to remove the pad for clearing on the mound?

As an alternative will it spoil anything if you drill a hole in it to allow the scorers to look down the bore?

That's a great idea for clearing!
Still need a system to remove and accurately replace after cleaning
