Queen’s day 1

If it stays out to sea we will be fine.
There’s barely any wind so it could be an X count comp if it stays this way.
Good luck to all shooting.

Quick update
A small shower and now it is looking great
I did manage to shoot the best 59 ever
Matt refused to take any responsibility for faulty workmanship
He did however promise to do something special with my next barrel.
The organisers have decided to shoot an extra range today in case of rain later on

All in all a good day's shooting, and Rod clearly saw something at 600m the rest of us didn't. The rain turned out to be a non-event but there is some forecast for tonight. I reckon we'll be alright tomorrow and we'll see what the wind does at 700 and 800. And if you' read this Rod, stay away from spas mate!

Queen’s Day 2
We have once again been blessed with a good start weather wise and hopefully it will remain that way.

Wind is travelling directly toward us with a slight left to right.
It looks tricky, scores will soon show if it is.
Good shooting all.

Another great day weatherwise
Congratulations to all winners you deserve it
The 2 - 800m ranges were more challenging to some than others
Mitch Bailey shot a cracking 60:5 equivalent off the elbows- well done
On the running agg for the Queen’s John Peters has a commanding 1 point lead and with only 4 points between 1st and 5th it really is anyone’s race.
2x 800m ranges tomorrow with the last one a 15 shot
JP may be a little nervous
Good luck to all tomorrow

Day 3
We have just shot the first 800
It’s overcast with a couple of light brief showers
First place in open is very crowded
3 on the same score
A 15 shotter at 800 to go - a few nails being chewed at the moment

The last range is nearly done
Rod Davies just held an 800m clinic so the rest of us peasants can see how it’s done.

The Queen’s has been run and won
Well done to all
It was an event well worth attending in a great location with a great bunch of people, I’m keen to return next year
Thanks to everyone who organised and ran the event
Manual targets being a big plus for me

There’s a barrel on offer for a lucky door prize too so we are all in with a chance there.

Congratulations to all winners

. Looks like conditions were rarely easy.
I'd like to make particular mention of Rosedale clubmate Greg Hair who's only been shooting a few months and won the F-Std B Leadup and Grand - very gutsy effort.
