My last trip I came in through international. It was faster to go through customs with a firearm, than it was to go through with wooden items. (Time noted by the passenger going through ahead of me)
You have the paperwork, customs know what they are doing, it is straight forward.
When traveling in a team, you have a manager. The manager thanks care of booking hire cars, accommodation, etc.

Who says I'm in the team.
I maybe just the orange boy
All will be revealed on the day. Until then, make sure you don't have any of those dodgy Berger projies. I think there were some other calibers affected too. Just let me know what you're using, and I'll check
No dodgy Bergers for me. Might use up my Speer's.....they like the high humidity of NQ

Yeah its hard Alan - I simply do not know what to do now. No doubt I will spend the next two weeks loading for every rifle I have (including trusty 222) for all these possible combinations of events??
I think the weapon we will all have to really watch out for on the range sounds like that NSW rum tent!!

Loading Loading Loading
Anyone finished loading yet?
I haven't started, as I'm waiting to see what everyone else is using before I make the final decision
Is there still time for a quick rechamber
6mm? BR / Dasher / BRX / LR / ?
6.5mm? 47 / 284 / ?
7mm? 284 / Shehane / SAUM / WSM / ?
30cal? WSM / BooBoo / ?
Anyone using something else?
We should make a list of what's coming, then see what performs the best. That way we'll all know for the future. That's my scientific method for working out what to try next
In search of that one magic round that shoots straight no matter the conditions.

Silicone spray
Some advice to the other states:
I've just had a thought, Silicone spray should keep the rain/moisture off the projectiles. Or give the projies a good waxing, just like you do your car.
It is a good time to try something new, I recommend you give it a go
And they say: "more is less"

Orange box hunting
our team will be using the old orange box hunting thin jackets.
they have proven accurate, and give 50 fps higher speed than current target bergers for similar pressure.
same load gives less speed, but +0.5 gn is just right.
Bruce,
Please tell me you'll share, it's not fair to keep all the good projectiles to yourself.

Snow in Mackay
Dave,
I hope we don't get another Mt. Borah Earthquake like they did in 1983.
Note to self: add some more weight to my rest just in case we get a rumble or two.
As we aren't there in November, hopefully the snow will have gone. Can you check and get back to me?

Certainly can't see any snow on the mountains from here but Mackay is 10 hours south so could be a whole different world down there.
Also not sure about earthquakes but with all the mining going on west of Mackay we may well get some blasting tremors - I suspect none of it will compare to the ground shaking sonic booms from all those 7mmWSM's coming up from SA though!!
Not sure if the extra weight will help Bartman - I suggest you investigate some sort of spring dampening system to separate front bag from the moving ground rather than clamping yourself harder to it!
