As one who has travelled a fair bit to train and become eligable for various rifle teams, distances to events is something you have to put up with.Being in the eastern states, there is a lot of travel from South Australia,Victoria,NSW and Queensland, pity the West Australian's,the Northern Territory and North Queenslander's.The effort these people put in to attend national events is outstanding.lee Enfield,I can see where the NT and WA people are coming from.

...and then Matt P goes on to win the match at Hornsby. I feel that if it has a barrel and goes bang, Matt can shoot it better than most! :D

Jarrod,
The Castlemaine Rifle Range is one of your venues, but unfortunately the CRC insists on compliance with a controversial set of " By Laws " which tend to remove the welcome mat for some interested shooters.
Have you fixed this problem yet?

wow my comment about 1300kms really got some replys !!!!!! I shot at the hornsby match being as it was only 32kms from my house ha ha and got fifth in nato class but it's only my first match and a computer ballistic program is only so close for the height settings, and hope to do better next time, as I am on call during the canberra match I can't make it but will shoot it when I can.
