Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm currently sitting on 94.33% (after Warwick is included in grading) so if I can stay composed for the queens then that should see me into a grade. Even if the rules permitted it may not be the best time to change as I believe the presidents is included for the grand agg?

How about Josh Reid as other have mentioned, awesome job. We will certainly be seeing more from him.

Hopefully the North Arm crew will turn up. You will probably see Denis Aaron's, Jimmy Dunsmore , Dennis Brown with his new 284, and Andrew Pearce as a minimum.
Lowell Tillack from Goondiwindi has stepped up to Open and is very competitive with his new rig. Hopefully he might get there.

Phil Dewhurst from Wallumbilla out near Roma is in great form, but is in the mining industry and Rod knows all about the difficulties of making that work when you want to go away and shoot!
Dave Hatherall,Scott Mtchell and Andrew McKillop from up the coast would be "maybe's".............so possibly another 10 in Open that I can think of.

No questions left now about Josh Reids shooting ability, but the real plus with him, along with his mates Brent and Simone from Ipswich Club, is the young age, a great attitude and a genuine "Team" mentality. Great for the future of our sport. They are all ready, willing and able, to get heavily involved in any Teams activity, even at Club level, and that bodes well for the future.

Would love to be shooting. Was a Belmont yesterday at the Qstore and seeing Mr Daniels about training courses. Didn't go and have a sticky but did see the range in full swing. Would have been a nice day for it too.

Unfortunately back up in Bundy now and will have to only read it on here.

PS - the Creedmoor has been retired from F Open service for the foreseeable future

Hello again from Belmont with the first day over. Some very high scores in all F Classes. For example a 60 only guaranteed you 13th place in F-Open at 300yds .

Conditions were on the whole very easy, but with some occasional tricky bits that caught the unfortunate. We had a heavy drizzle patch mid morning but otherwise just gentle and quite steady breezes.

In F-open it is probably the tightest leaderboard I've been on, with the top 17 separated by only 5 points. In F-Std, there are many, including B-Graders very close to the F-Open leaders. And in F/TR Stephen Sharp has dropped just 1 point!!

Something I need to mention, I had a very good day today, thanks in no small part to Shane Green's generosity in lending me his backup NXS after my own scope came under suspicion. Now it appears that Shane's no.1 scope has a problem. He could have asked for the NXS back but didn't. THANK YOU SHANE! I owe you one.

Exactly Richard. At this early stage in my career, I can't justify the expense.

I knew there was a reason Alan although you do give ppl heart palpitations every time you run back to your car to change scopes mid string.

A great tussle going on at Belmont on Day 2 !!
My good mate Dianne Hannel shot a 60-7 at 500 yards and came in 5th, .........with 4 shooters going one X better to score 60-8............whilst Quick (Shaun Stoffels) one of our visiting Sandgropers all the way from WA, shot a fine 60-4 and came in in 17th place for the range !
14 shooters doing 60-6 or better.
And two FTR shooters also scoring 60-8. Some astoundingly good shooting going on in what must be great conditions !
Bloody broken leg....I would kill to be able to be there shooting !

Conditions very good again today, with another 240 possible in F-Open (Cam McEwan). The TR shooters enjoyed the conditions also with 2 of them not yet having dropped a shot. In F-Std, Josh Reid has been "promoted" to A Grade, and Ernie Mace had a very good day. Some of the more experienced F/TR shooters had a better showing today, including Shane Green who is due for some luck.

Still no F-Open equipment list - tomorrow?

i am flattered, Tim. I think they are all taking their shooting far to seriously to be concerned about " we the fans" ! But they at doing a pretty piss weak job of keeping us in the loop, aren't they ?
Don't they realse we need to know their score AS THEY GET UP ?.......and that any later than that is TOO late !
I won't be able to shoot at the QRA Queens, but certainly hope to be there....and probably couldn't help myself from "reporting" so that the absent fans can be kept fully informed.
If Janzo even farts, on the mound.....I will report it
