Thanks Ernie. I knew you'd come straight to the point

! I guess we'd better make the effort to get up there in June.
Merry Christmas.

Thank You. You do not have to apologise for some shooters that want to be arm chair shooters.
The Mace Cup is separate Trophy to the Grand Agg. or the Queens Agg.
The top 4 from F/S ,F/O & 2 F/TR scoers from Grand will be the one ho will shoot Bisley style in conjuntion with Kaltenberg Cup.
To the shooters that want to brakeaway from the Queen are You going to run it
I THINK NOT GO BACK TO YOUR ARM CHAIRS
More Events More Shooters
Happy Xmas & Happy New Year shooters

Could not have said it better

My earlier question might have got lost in the dissent so I'll ask again - does anyone know who Kaltenburg is or was?

A German brewery:
http://www.kaltenberg.com/beer.html . They established a cup for a particular event at Bisley some time back. Geoff Ayling won the inaugural one, they presented him with the cup & he kept it seemingly despite their solicitations. Apparently, the wording of the event permitted him to take that action. A few years back, he gave the cup to the NRAA & they set up the event as it is now contested.
Or so the story goes.

So, the cup was started by a German Brewing company. I wonder if we can get them to sponsor prizes for the Mace Cup.
