Yes Marty was in a class of his own at this one. His 800m today was one of the best hits I've ever watched.

Today was probably slightly windier than the last few days, plus enough rain in the latter part of the 900 that they called a ceasefire for a few minutes.

The main thing that impressed me about this Queens was the camaraderie which extended across all disciplines. I believe it was the friendliest Queens I've attended. I think Bruce Scott should be given some credit for his leadership style which has brought this about.

I promised an F-Open equipment list - here is as much as I got - I have missed one or two :



And hopefully I will have the rankings updated by tomorrow.

Congrats to Marty, Nick and Murray. There was a badge for F/TR compliant rifles - congrats to Shane Green, who had a great last day, dropping just 1 point. Unfortunately this won't be going into the rankings as it was not a fully ratified F/TR comp.

And note that our very hard-working photographer Josh Cox had a very big win in C Grade. Congrats and thanks very much for the photos Josh - great work.

I'm heading further north over the next few days, and will end up in Alice for their big PM. Will run a blog from their also hopefully.

Hey Al, Shane Green got the FTR badge, also finished in front of Jim in the queens. Fstd was tight, was great to shoot with those big names.

Chop (another 6 for you) Burgy normally shoots a 6*47 and 6mmBR (Think it is a Barnard, Maddco and 105 Lapua, NF) and would be surprised if that is not what he used.

I am not a great poster of coments, but after such a great shoot and meeting so many great people again I believe it is about time to talk about this in the open to make the many more shoots to come fair and skill contests, instead of the luck of the draw or condition one's, I believe this should probably be a seperae post but am not skilled enough to do that as yet.
The contest in f class shooting has become so good and tight, anybody could win on most days and if we had the stage to all shoot at the same time under the same or similar condition the contest would become more skillful and less open to luck, this is a position I have pushed in Tas and Bendigo since winning Tas as sometimes when you win you wonder if you were just lucky or you realy do have some skill.
