Best Tablets for ETs

Hello again, gentlemen

I have been contacted by my club president who is putting together a grant application for ETs for our range. Can anyone give some tips on what are good tablets to use? Specifically ones that are friendly with old(er) eyes? There is already a bit of negative sentiment about the prospect of changing over from manual targets, so I don't want to end up with tablets that are hard to see in sunlight, have poor contrast or are too small.

Put another way - what tablets do you use on your ETs, and do you recommend them?

Cheerio
Alex

I use an old MacBook Air
Others at the club use Samsung’s or iPads - owned personally.
The “club” bought a cheap one for every one to use but it’s hard to read and has poor battery life.

Hi Geoff, I was able to source 10 or so on eBay. Had a mate re programme them for me. Bruce Sergeant got some off me, as did some club mates and Bill Bouyack bought the last lot from my seller. With postage, I ended up paying about $30 each. They were also a slightly later model than our Hexta ones as they have touch screens.

They were part of the One Laptop Per Child worldwide programme.
