Hello SAUM Shooters.

My BAT is now fitted with a 1:8 for the longer 183SMK and for the 184BER when they arrive.

So far, I have shot about 100 183's in old cases loaded with 2209. 54.0 seems to be OK.

I know that 2213 is regarded as dirty, but if it performs, who cares?

Any info on loads for 2213 and 2217 would be much appreciated.

Has anyone tried the new Reloader 16 and Reloader 23?

I like 2209 in my saum, and 2213 in my 300 wsm. 2213 is a bit dirty in the saum, but not in the 300 wsm, where you are using another 10 grains or so.

Would not shoot 2209 if you gave it to me, shot this 2 weeks ago testing different primers, 183 smk's, 2213 powder, 61.4 gave me 2950fps and 61.8 gave 2970fps, 61.4 gave me ES of 4 and 61.8 gave me ES of 13. Start at 60.0 grains and work up.



PS, These are 3 shot groups at 100 yards, Belmont Madden Range

I've tried RL23 in a 280AI - It's showing promise but still more testing to do - fouls a lot less than 2209 among others things.

Some may not like 09 in the saum, others have found it to be the powder of champions.

Try 2225 , u maybe pleasantly surprised!! Fed 210 ‘s start about 62 gr with 180 ‘s .about 2930 FPS and just ideling and burns clean ! Also depends on C.O.A.L. Too .
