Wet Moly

Have been using HBN for a while and have had mixed results. The most persistent being the odd flyer after 15 to 20 shots. Have decided to go back to Moly and have tried the wet application process today. Clean simple process with no more black Moly fingers.

Hopefully this fixes the flyers, unless you’re shooting open :)
It would be interesting to know what percentage of us are using moly! (Pol -Alan?)
I have a 6 dasher I use with moly for short range but not my 7 saums for long range.

I became a fan of wet moly in a 300wsm that fixed a carbon fouling 300wsm run at a low node.

I then thought I'd use it when I entered FSTD. I didn't like it in a .308 because it reduced MV so much, I had to almost run a compressed load to achieve my 2950 fps node. Being close to a compressed load, it made the node very short.
I went back to naked bullets in the .308, achieved 2950 fps easily with less powder and a longer node.

Coatings great within reason.

Wet moly bullets look SENSATIONAL, the process is easy and clean......ish.
