I've used the carbon remover and it seems to work fine. However, I did notice it also dissolves copper as the patches were coming out with a green tinge. Have no idea the chemical composition of the product although there was no ammonia odour.

I used to use only KG1 and KG12 and was always happy enough with them.

Then for a while I went back to just using eliminator.

Recently I have been using the Helmar products (Heavy duty carbon and heavy duty copper) in a two stage process.

I have been very impressed, particularly with the performance of the carbon cleaner which really seems to pull the carbon out fast. The copper solvent seems about on par with eliminator. KG12 is still the go to for me to really get rid of stubborn copper out of factory barrels.

I've only got the carbon remover so can't check but I think I saw somewhere that the carbon and copper products are the same stuff, just a higher concentration in the copper solvent.

I've found the same thing with Boretech C4. I used to use Hoppes and Sweets to run in barrels. When I swapped the Hoppes for C4 I found I was wasting my time with the Sweets as the copper was already gone.

See also previous thread. My club purchased direct from the factory, in bulk, and received a good deal.
