The inevitable price rise is here

Well we all knew it was going to happen but I felt the force of increased prices today. Picked up 3 tubs of RL23 powder which arrived on backorder and rather than the old price of $57 per 1lb tub, NIOA jacked it up to $75. Worse still is that the next shipment of Alliant powders will be up around the $90 mark per 1lb tub from May onwards, which I suspect for many will be too much.

Apparently NIOA added 17.5% to everything they bring in...

Hey Albert, got it through Magnum Sports on backorder. NIOA only had 100 tubs come in though and there were 195 on backorder. I think they are going to try and bring in smaller shipments more regularly but with the price rises...well if you must have Alliant powder, you'll need deep pockets.

Not that long ago we were .80C USD to 1 AUD
Currently we are battling along at .60USD and it did plummet to .55USD only 10 days ago or so.

That represents a 25% drop minimum so 17.5% is not a rip offfffffffffff!

Just don't expect it to stop there!
As we print money in this mess the value of the AUD will drop further

This is not the fault of the wholesalers or retailers

Almost inevitably, more money will be printed.

BUT the US may also have to print money and debase their dollar as well. So, relatively, it may not be as bad as some think.

OTOH, Anything could happen !

Quite right Peter, maybe, just maybe, Aussie pollies will realise that Australia is the only country on the planet that has everything within it's boarders to be self sufficient. We even have so much of some stuff we could sell what we don't need.

Well, nearly everything, somewhat lacking in visonary leadership :(

PS we make powder here too, might be a French company but its made here.

still 17.5% is a hell of an increase !!!! I am not saying it's not justified , but I bet the only way it will drop to nothing is if our $$ was on par and thats a 40% increase as we never seem to get the full price drop, because of rising prices and cost's
