Ok I've read some old posts dated 2015.
But I would like to know about any recent issues.
Tight, oh so bloody tight, huge amounts of leverage required to seat some of the federal 210 primers in this brass. Fired twice only.
What am I doing wrong please ?

This sort of thing has happened to me once or twice, and it was the shellholder of the priming tool getting gummed up at the rear part of the rim groove. Because the case head wasn't homing fully into the groove, the primers were slightly misaligned with the mouth of the pocket, and some refused. This is made worse by the fact that Federal primer cups are in my experience not as uniform as CCI for example. Try scraping out the rim groove with a jeweller's screwdriver or similar.

I had trouble seating primers into some Lapua Saum cases. The forces required were enough to destroy Lee Priming tools. And end up with numb feeling in my thumbs. I have rebuilt a few of these. In any case, they have changed their design to something really inferior and I would never recommend them any more unless you can pick up an old model.

So I bought a NewCentury priming tool. The feel and available force is unbelievable compared to the Lee. The following is what I ended up with. I see the price has gone up. BUT it really is a precision tool. Single loading of primers but I will accept this for the better result. Below will find you a pic of the beast. Don't forget that you also need a special shellholder. I tend to be a bit of a miser but do not regret this purchase and would place it well ahead of many other gismos. Sigh - it's only money ............

G'day All,
have a look at the sinclair international priming tool, uses Lee auto prime shell holders and you can buy separate head for say .223, 6br, magnum cases to make swapping super easy. You can also adjust the length of the ram for correct seating depth.
Mine has loaded thousands of primers since 1996 and never missed a beat

I now use the priming function on my Foster press it works great and guess what no more missfires that come from hand held primer tools.

funny i use a k&m hand tool for the same reason.
