Loads for the 7 SAUM

Hi folks,
Pretty new to F Class, and while I have reloaded for years, new to reloading the 7 saum.
Would really appreciate any info on the following...
Which powder has been a better choice 2209 or 2213sc?
Which load has given the best, and most consistent accuracy?
The reason I ask is that most of the load data I have seen on the net is at least 1 grain over the ADI maximum.
Appreciate any guidance here.
Cheers

Hey Mark
Depends on your twist rate and projectile choice.
Let’s assume 9 twist and 180 bergers which might be considered the F Open “standard” load.
The NSW choice would be 55-56 gns of 2209 with 10 thou jamb and Robert’s your fathers brother.
Note: approach load with caution

Thanks Tim, I’m sorry I left some info out. It’s an 8 twist and I’m intending to use 180 Berger Hybrid.
Cheers,

Cheers,
If you can get your hands on 2209 you will be well served. With Hybrid, most jump them, start 5 thou off and work back.

Some have some luck with 2213sc as well , if you can get it ? Might work better with an 8 twist and fed primers . But longe barrel life too. The above powder is my go too for 280 so fast load . Actually I bore scoped my 280 ai after Qld Queens last year , ( which I haven’t really shot at all since bar Wondai and one club shoot or two ) . But that Lilja looks like new after 1000 plus rounds . So 2213sc maybe a look as , my opinion saum and 280 so are very similar but different if that makes sense!
Regards Graham.

Thanks Graham, I have some 2213 also, so I’ll see if I can work up a load with this also.

I started with 58gr 2213 and a berger hybrid jammed 5thou last week. I was getting a little heavy bolt lift on extraction on some shots so i backed off .5 gr. you should be able to use more depending on your barrel and besides this load looks good so ill start here. maybe ill try altering the seating depth a little to a 5thou jump and compare. my gunsmith is very busy so i want the barrel to last longer thats why 2213.

Thanks Macguru, I have now tried load work ups in both 2209 and 2213, with the 180 hybrid, 2213 seems to be the most accurate and consistent (low SD) powder. I also tried load work ups for the 168 VLD and 2209 worked best here.
